About the Club

The Rotary Club of Ekulu emerged as an off shoot of the Rotary Club of Enugu, expanding
Rotary's footprint around Enugu's GRA/Ekulu axis. Club sources consistently trace its
founding to1981, describing Ekulu as the “firstborn” of RC Enugu. A district-aligned
listing of Enugu-area charter dates places Ekulu's charter on 30June 1981. Historically
it belonged to District9140; in Rotary's 2017 realignment, District9140 split into
Districts9141and 9142, with Ekulu aligning under District 9142. District materials

Seniority and mentoring role among newer clubs.

District Governors, namely- PDGs Chike Nwizu, Eddy Mbadiwe, Dave C. Okonkwo
And much later on,his son- Okey Okonkwo. The latest addition to the list,
Rtn.Chibuzor Asogwa has been installed as the tenth District Governor of District 9142
